King Abdulaziz Convention Center Grand Hall
Realising a bespoke acoustic and seating scope for a landmark convention hall
For the King Abdulaziz Convention Center's Grand Hall, the architectural design and acoustic consultancy had already been established by other consultancies; Acoustic Design's role was to take that design through to realisation on site.
The scope centred on delivering the hall's acoustic timber wall treatment — refining the design, engineering its acoustic performance and manufacturing the panelling itself — alongside technical consultancy on the wider fit-out, including coordination with the ceiling installation carried out by an Italian contractor.
Acoustic Design also took full responsibility for the seating programme across the centre, from layout design through to supply, covering around 2,800 VIP and premium-segment seats.
The result is a 2,200-seat Grand Hall whose warm geometric surfaces and premium finishes carry through consistently from wall to seat, reflecting the coordinated realisation of a design set by others into a genuinely high-performance venue.
